Our commitment to the environment
Our mission: transporting you sustainably
At Keolis Gascogne, we are committed every day to evolving the way we work to better respect our planet and our region. From Landes to Lot-et-Garonne, we support your journeys while reducing our environmental impact.
Cleaner Vehicles
- Bio CNG (Compressed Natural Gas for Vehicles): it reduces greenhouse gas emissions by around 80% compared to diesel and is quieter in operation, providing additional comfort for passengers and drivers;
- HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil): a fuel made from waste or plant-based raw materials. It can directly replace diesel while achieving a significant 70% reduction in CO₂ emissions;
- B100 : produced from rapeseed grown in France, this fuel is 100% plant-based, renewable, and locally sourced. It helps reduce CO₂ emissions by nearly 60% per journey.
These more environmentally friendly fuels allow us to offer more sustainable transport and contribute to reducing air pollution, combating climate change, and preserving quality of life in our regions.
Less waste, more recycling
At Keolis Gascogne, reducing waste is a daily priority.
All our depots are equipped for waste sorting, whether hazardous or not. Cardboard, plastic bottles, and ink cartridges are collected in sorting bins and handled by our partner ELISE, a social enterprise employing people with disabilities. We also work with certified companies to collect and recycle so-called “hazardous” waste, such as used oils and batteries. Additionally, to reduce contaminated waste from maintenance activities, Keolis Gascogne uses reusable cloths and absorbent mats through a specific service provided by MEWA.
Furthermore, to cut down on paper consumption, Keolis Gascogne has developed and implemented the My Keolis Services app, which digitizes drivers’ schedules — representing a significant portion of paper use.
Energy-efficient buildings
In addition, vehicle washing is adjusted based on their actual condition to avoid any waste of water. We closely follow the recommendations of local authorities in the event of drought.
